My favourite loo seat is the type that just pulls off when you press a button between the seat and the lid. It is so easy to keep clean. You can remove the fittings that hold the seat in place and wash those too. Also use sealant where the loo meets the floor to stop anything getting under the loo. I use a lot off loo paper for quick clean ups because you can flush it away. I do use paper towels for general bathroom cleaning. There is no way I would use washable cloths for cleaning around a loo or a bathroom floor. I also prefer the toilet duck flushable toilet cleaning pads which are held by a long wand type gadget, after dropping the pad into the loo use a bleach spray on any part of the wand which has been in contact with the loo. I keep a loo brush for deep cleaning. I NEVER let anyone else in the house use the toilet brush. I keep a washing up brush to scrub under the rim. I use biological laundry liquid under the rim, keep it in a squeezy bottle so you can squirt it under the rim. I always follow up with bleach. I keep a red bucket which I use to clean the toilet brushes, just make up a bleach solution and soak the brushes for an hour then pour the solution down the loo and leave the brushes in the bucket. The bucket doesn't have to be huge.
