So I did massage for over a decade and professional cuddling services for almost as long. In massage about 10% of my clients were women. Interestingly I only ever had one woman talk about sex at any point. She also became aggressively sexual even after telling her I was not interested and had to kick her out. About 20% of my clients identified as straight men, about 20% as bisexual and 50% as gay men. Almost all of the men, including the straight ones, wanted to talk about sexuality. It didn't mean they were interested in engaging, but they almost always wanted to talk about it. What I found wild though was almost all of my professional cuddling clients identified as straight men. Almost all of them weren't looking for anything sexual, but wanted closeness, intimacy and to be free and talk about things without being judged. What I found is how much intimacy is really lacking for straight men in the US and how many of them crave it. I will never give anyone's identity away, but saw professional athletes, prominent businessmen, military men both active and discharged, married men, guys big into hunting and fishing. One guy even hired me for a week to spend a weekend with him during hunting season out at his hunting lodge. Guys of all different backgrounds. It was interesting to see that straight guys out here have a really deeper need to connect, feel seen and understood. As a gay man I came out at 15 and even from that point had straight friends. For the most part my assumption was there were a few straight guys who were more deep than others. Having all these experiences opened me up to not judging straight men until I really got to know them, and that many more of them were deeper than I or most women were giving them credit for. Most people in the US really end up confusing intimacy and sexuality. They are two different things that can coexist within the same relationship and can also exist exclusively with another person as well. We have a lot to heal in our culture and I actually feel very honored to have been a part of that evolution with so many people.
