I think you missed two major points. One, it degrades Asians because asians are suppose to be absolutely perfect students and are not allowed to venture out to other careers they may be more interested in, than becoming a doctor, lawyer, or whatever the stereotype may be. Its tells asians no, you cannot have a creative career or be your own person or something else that may contradict the asian stereotype. In addition, it tells asians you cannot make mistakes and grow as a person from your mistakes. Two, asians are so generalized despite being the largest continent in the world. It allows freedom for racism to thrive. People always assume that if you remotely look eastern asian, you must be one of the following and nothing else: Korean, Japanese, or Chinese. People don't take into consideration that you may southeastern asian or central asian. Asia is such a large continent with so many different kinds of cultures its crude to assume and confine asians to one specific group because they are not all the same. Same applies to middle eastern and southern asia.
