Im trying to be open minded. What do you consider a great movie? I was 15 or 16 when this movie came out. Do you remember how it was for gay people in 2007??? It was awful for them my uncle got married around 2006 or 2007 to his mate, they had to ask my mom for a loan application because they weren't allowed to buy their apartment, america told them they had rights but in reality they were living on egg shells. My friend got fired from a big corporate company because they found out he was gay. I do agree with some points you made, and the movie can come off rather piggish. Whether you like or not this movie shed light on the bs that gay people were going through which ultimately helped people recognize that we need to stop this ignorance and remember we are all just trying to better our lives

the way that the boy didnt even care for himself and went straight to check his mom is the most heartwarming thing ever, this kid is so kind :)
