As a survivor of SA, I loathe people like this. People who only get involved with these serious issues because pdfs are the ultimate bad guys who can't be easily defended, and people are (very understandably) more willing to look past any complexities surrounding the cases. They can be seen as the hero and feed their ego with relative ease. They get a target for their hate and rage - but it's righteous anger, so the more the better, right? They get clout and pats on the back, and anyone who dares to criticize even an aspect of their methods are immediately labeled a pdf defender. They keep repeating how it's all about the victims, but there's zero time spent on what might make you more vulnerable to victimization, or understanding PTSD or ways to deal with the trauma, beyond REVENGE. Or justice, as they like to call it. And so what if the evidence is a little shaky, so what if it's not what the victim actually wants or what helps them, so what if they don't actually get the guy or it doesn't lead to an arrest, let alone conviction, and might even help them escape responsibility? You got the clicks, you got to feel like you're doing the absolute, objective right thing. You got to make money off minors.
