In middle school, talking 10, 11 years old, I was picked on because I went to school in an affluent area and all the spoiled girls were shaving and wearing bras (with no boobies mind you) and I wasn't. I don't have fair colored body hair either; dark dark leg hair. So little 12 year old me begged my mom to let me shave before high school. My partner of 8 years, has made it clear numerous times he doesn't care. Especially after my child was born and I didn't shave for many many months, the longest in years I went without, I faced no comments from him at all. I'm the one who can't let go yet, as much as I'd like to. I want to be free of the task. But I'm struggling to get there.
