Great video. I also had a serious problem with a kel tech handgun that almost cost me my life. I was a police officer at the time and carried my department issue beretta model 96D. This is the .40 caliber version of the model 92F (military issue 9mm). The only difference, other than the caliber obviously, is that the 96D is double action only with a beveled hammer and no external safety. I also carried a sub compact glock in a holster attached to my vest. On this particular day I reached in my safe in the dark (I worked 3rd shift and my wife was asleep) and quickly grabbed my duty weapon and what I thought was my glock. I realized at my car that I had actually grabbed my kel tech 9mm that I had recently purchased from another cop. The weapon was brand new, never shot by him and I got a great deal. I fired it once, cleaned it and put it away. Cutting to the chase, I ended up putting the kel tech in my vest as a back up because I was not concerned and late for work. Later that night I was alone in a backyard when I was attacked by two assholes who had just murdered an entire family of 3 with a hammer and a kitchen knife. I am 5'7 180lbs and both men were larger than me. When one made an attempt to pull my beretta from its holster, while his boy was trying to get me in a choke hold from behind, was when I decided that it was time to use deadly force. I knew that if I drew my beretta with his hands also on it there would be no way I would be able to fire it accurately and may have it taken from me. Obv this is all happening very quickly. I unzipped my uniform shirt (the buttons are fake obv) and drew my back up kel tech and fired 3 rounds into the head of the man on my right trying to take my duty weapon. He was killed instantly and the man trying to get his arm under my chin to choke me released me and attempted to pull what we later found was a .38 revolver from his rear waistband. When I turned and saw him pulling this weapon from his back I attempted to fire the kel tech when my heart literally sunk. I pulled the trigger and realized instantly that it had stove piped the last round I had fired into the first mans head. As I dropped the kel tech and drew and fired my beretta I was shot once in the vest center mass. I returned fire, shooting the second man 8 times in the head neck and chest, landing all 8 rounds killing him. My vest stopped the .38 and aside from a large welt and sore as fuck ribs, physically I was ok. That event obv changed my life forever in many ways. The point to this long story is simple, that fucking kel tech almost cost me everything. When buying a weapon always remember that reliability is the only factor that matters. Everything else is just details.
