My god. First of all, good story(??? I honestly cannot tell if the story itself was good as the execution of this narration was so distractingly bad by virtue entirely of the music, that I legit can't tell whether the source material was of any quality or not) I'm not trying to be super judgey over an interesting story, provided to me free of charge on youtube. I do try to keep negativity to myself as it's usually unnecessary, but I hope the narrator will take this as constructive criticism intended only to help them improve their product. I just can't figure out what they could possibly have been trying to accomplish with the music selections as well as the volume. I'm sorry, the elevator-style music was off-puttingly upbeat and just constant. It not only felt awful and jarring just because of how awful the music itself was, and how loud it was compared to the narrator volume, but the fact that it was apparently one piece, or one piece played on repeat, ruined any sense of pacing, which of course removed any opportunity for a person to feel curious, on the edge of their seat, engaged in a mystery, or scared for the characters. Pacing matters more than you'd think, and that meandering, awful music/sound effects track single-handedly annihilated any chance this story had to be tolerable, let alone good or enjoyable. I finally made it all the way thru, and it feels like I was just at work for 6 hours or something. The super interesting concept/idea is the only reason I subjected myself to more than a couple minutes of it, which is just so sad, as it's such a waste of a good idea. I hope he will redo it at some point, this story probly deserves better. The idea totally does.
