I always thought that Gary was a strange replacement for Charles. I loved him on MASH but not on here. Later on during his stint, it seemed he was just trying way to hard to fit in. And at times, Brett was even annoyed by him. I know a lot of that was in jest, but I'm sure she was thinking that she couldn't wait for Charles to get back.
