Why am I reminded of the school plays we did for the year 6’s who would leave that year, they were themed around the decades and would feature short 5 minute sketches, one of which was a Jim’ll fix it sketch which couldn’t have been done any less than 3 years before it all came to light, and to my knowledge they were still selling DVDs of the recording to the students families some years later, I wonder if that bit was ever edited out

I know this girl who wants plastic surgery for her breasts, and she talks about it as if it's a great procedure. The silicone they stuff in your boobs nowadays lasts longer than from a few years ago and after 10 or 15 years pass, she'll redo it to maintain her perky, bigger breasts. She's 20 right now and she wants to get that boob job when she's 21 (the minimum age for such procedures in my country) She's an insanely beautiful woman, I have worse insecurities compared to her and she's not flat chested or anything, the fact that nowadays the beauty standards affect young people like this is concerning. If she does the procedure and within 10 to 15 years she's broke, what now? How will you do the procedure to maintain them? OR she'll feel more insecure or obsessed and want more or bigger boobs. I'm a size 36 B and I find my breasts so annoying imagine someone with naturally big boobs. If she does it, I hope she doesn't regret it later on but surgery is never the answer. Please learn to love your body, never seek perfection among something imperfect.

I have many conflicted thoughts about this. Lately, I have been thinking about how straight men have been sexually liberated for much longer than women, but this liberation has never been about exposing or exploiting their own bodies. So why this, in particular, is a center of the women's liberation movement. Not only are the men the ones that are being more financially benefited in these industries, but also the main consumer. At times it feels like, as a community, women decided that if our bodies are going to be exploited anyway, we might as well gain something out of this. Idk how u all feel, but this doesn't feel empowering to me. As much as this benefits women it feels like it benefits other people much more. I guess that is ok, but also, how f...ing convenient.
