But their stories are always distinctly lacking in any kind of counter narrative. No one is talking about the guy or gal who thought they figured it out and is still at the bottom of the totem pole for reasons unknown. No one wants to address the fact that simply copying the people who figured it out doesn't magically get them major success. Nor does anyone want to address the fact that there most definitely is not room at the top for everyone.
