Buggest Tip here is when I peel off the wax, with the feathers imbedded, I throw those pieces of wax and feathers at back in the pot. The next day, or the next time I clean ducks, I just heat that up agian ond dip the ducks the same way. Half a block (2 1/2 lbs) of the duck wax will work to pluck 15-20 large ducks or 20-25 smaller ducks. After cleaning several days bag of ducks, you have mostly feathers and less wax and you'll be able to tell when it's time for a new batch of wax. This works great, and you aren't spending huge amounts of money on wax. I haven't found that trying to strain out the feathers works very well, you loose too much wax. Better to just leave the feathers in it and reheat and reuse until too many feathers are in the wax.
