I definitely agree that needing pornography is unnecessary - just as needing to watch television is unnecessary, or needing to eat cheeseburgers is unnecessary, or needing to play video games is unnecessary, along with many other things/activities, all of which are deleterious when done to excess. But wanting those things (including pornography), as long as they are all done with reasonable moderation, is not inherently deleterious, either to your physical or mental health. Please note I am not stating that any of those things are positive factors - I am just positing that they are not significantly damaging when done in moderation. And please remember, for boys/men, being visually aroused is in our d.n.a. and we cannot alter that physiological fact. We don't make a conscious choice to be aroused in that manner, it's totally natural and we cannot avoid it, hence the attraction to look at pornography. Please note that I'm not claiming we have to look at it - I'm only stating that we have an exceptionally natural powerful attraction to look at it. And as long as boys do it in the privacy of their bedroom or bathroom, and with moderation, is that terribly concerning or deplorable? Because if you have, you would have seen that the vast majority of it lands somewhere within the bell curve on the spectrum of degree of obscenity.
