Lol this is a funny discourse. For one, I think the irony is lost on some of the participants that they are doing exactly what they want Isaac to pay them extra for for free on clubhouse. Isaac is in a difficult position because he has a limited proof of concept as the app is fairly new similar to clubhouse. The difference is Clubhouse grew “organically” and is seeing success because their app was innovative and people are taking advantage to build their following on there because they see an opportunity to monetize their following as the app grows. They currently have no competition in their niche yet (as far as I know). Isaac’s offering is a combination of the functionalities of several popular apps and monetizing off your following. In Essence, their selling points are different. Isaac is doing a poor job of selling his app by pandering to the “buy black” rhetoric. Because it’s nothing but a rhetoric that ppl throw around to act like they support black creators. Black ppl historically view anything black as inferior (consciously or unconsciously) and they would rather spend their money on white ppl brands. It’s systemic. Isaac is better off getting users by marketing the apps “unique selling points” to other demographics. Black ppl would join later when it’s deemed “cool”.
