You might want to think that 18 is the magical age of adulthood, but I disagree. You might look like an adult, but you are so obviously not an adult. It is even true that your brain and physiology isn't done growing till 25, especially the areas in your brain that fully comprehend consequences. And just look at it in a sociological, personal growth way. 18 is when you are finished high school. Start in elementary, on to high school. Not even college now, and this closeted life is supposed to be the thing that makes you an adult? Not likely. Now obviously, different people are different and mature at different rates, and some never really mature and think about consequences, but in general, I think we can say that at 18, most are still more kids than adults. If this was a hundred years ago, then that would be a different story. We need to see what is in front of our face, and not get caught up with morality ideals, nor tradition.
