I recently was arrested and went to Orange county jail. It could have been worse. The COs we're very friendly except the nurses. I went on a failure to appear on a child support civil thing so it was in and out. But I was having some issues with my blood pressure they even took me to the hospital by an ambulance. The processing was pretty easy but then we had to go upstairs to a holding cell until they either get bonded out or you get moved over to what they call the hotel and that was pretty dirty. But the housing unit I was in was pretty clean and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be of course it's jail it's not going to be good the food is awful. While I was in there there were girls who got food sent in from their families like from restaurants there's something on there commissary that they can order and send it to them like chicken wings french fries and milkshakes all kinds of stuff. I had a crazy lady who was sleeping next to me who did nothing but talking in her sleep and kept getting up and walk around that was kind of terrifying. While I was at the processing center like you're showing there they had phones that were free that you could call your family on as many times as you needed to. On Sundays everyone gets a free call. The nurses were completely horrible because they didn't know how to work a blood pressure cuff and it kept on squeezing my arm and they told me I was making it up although I had bruises all up and down my arm. But it could have been worse. If you want to see something that's really bad go to Polk county Florida jail. They're still doing 23 and 1 locked up in a two-man cell for a 23 hours a day you're lucky if you get out for 1 hour a day to even try to get a shower or call your loved ones it's awful over there. I asked them why they did that and they said they started doing this because of covid you have to stay there for like 14 days until you get moved to the other spot. And they never changed it back it is completely pointless to hear not doing that to help you prevent covid nobody wears mask in there nobody's doing covid test in there it's just a cruel way to do things I think. And this is not prison this is jail this is where you go before prison!
