I've decided to comment on the topic of the video and how I feel about all of this. I do not feel that cross dressers, drag queens, etc should be labeling themselves as trans, nor should anyone (looking at RuPaul) be saying trans women are just gay men with plastic surgery, or that trans are shemales when in fact a shemale is a term for males in the porn industry that create a female body via hormone cycling and silicone injections while still keeping their male genitalia normal size. Anyone in those categories are not trans, and they don't need the trans label to get support or rights. Just like T does not need LGB to get support and rights. All this does is cause confusion to the general public on what trans is. Ever since T was added to LGB, AND the recent trend of cross dressers, transvestites, and other  non-transgendered people labeling themselves as trans, all this has done is set transgendered individuals backwards. This only further promotes the idea that LGBT are all the same thing when really LGB are sexualities, while trans is not a sexuality. So now the majority of the population think gays, trans, cross dressers, etc are all different words for the same thing, just being done to different degrees. Before trans was added to LGB and before the trend of non-trans referring to themselves as trans started, people just assumed or guessed. But now people feel more certain it's all the same thing because of trans being misused and misinterpreted. I also feel that anyone that is not trans does not need to transition. If you're someone that is a cross dresser or transvestite and you do not have dysphoria with your sex, then you do not need to transition. If you do feel dysphoria with your sex, then you are transgendered, not a cross dresser, or transvestite, etc. Cross dressers (using men as example) do not need the right to use the women's restroom or any of these rights that you say is why they should be included in the trans umbrella. If you feel you are a woman in the wrong body rather than a cross dressing man, then you're not a cross dresser. You would be trans and should have the right to use the proper restroom. The same thing applies to birth certificate. Only a trans or DSD woman should be legally allowed to change/correct gender marker on birth certificate, not cross dressers or any other non-trans, non-DSD person. On top of all this, not even all transgendered women are trans. Half of the trans women out there actually have a disorder of sex development (DSD) but doctors still labeling us as trans because testing is still being done on brain sex (gender). And some DSD women conform to trans since they are not even aware about studies that have shown brain sex being very real even before hormones, so they believe their doctors when they speak to them the same way they would biological men that have a mental disorder making them feel like they are female, like when the doctor or therapist says You can be whatever you want to be.. For a real trans this is true, as trans women are biological men that feel like they should of been born female and identify more with females, and want to become female as a result. For DSD women with our brain sex variety of DSD we have always been female even if raised as a male. In example my postures, mannerisms, perception of the world have always come naturally as female, which is why the real life test is extremely offensive to us and being grouped with trans women. We didn't choose to be female, but we have to go through the same things transgendered women do to correct (for DSD) change (for transgender) our body. When trans women say things like I can't wait until surgery so I'll be a real girl or When I was younger I prayed I'd wake up a girl. or I was born a male, but am now living as a woman full-time., or referring to cis-women as the opposite gender pre-op, that stuff is foreign to us and very weird and awkward being thought of in the same category. Not that we have anything against transgendered women, but no one wants to be labeled as something they aren't. That just causes even more distress and depression. There are many LGB members that hate having trans attached to LGB and vice versa, and people confusing one for the other. The same applies to us that have a DSD being confused with trans, made even worse when 'some' women with a DSD variety related to chromosome abnormality or related to genitalia want to exclude us as having a DSD just because our DSD is not related to their exact DSD and idea of DSD. A DSD is an umbrella term for any real physical abnormality related to sex differentiation, whether it be chromosomes, hormone insensitivity, brain sex, etc.
