He did not physically or sexually assault me, but I was completely traumatized by what was being said to me and suggested, all of it totally NSFW. And I was terrified he was going to assult me. I reported it to the Bishop, who was also an attorney, and this teacher was removed from their teaching post but that was it, nothing else happened. I stopped going to church after that. Maybe six months later a new Bishop was [named? elected? I don't know] and I found out that this guy was back teaching youth. So I went to speak with the new Bishop about what had happened and why he shouldn't be teaching youth. After speaking with the predator, the Bishop called me in to let me know that he believed I was being dishonest. The predator denied everything and so, the obvious issue here was me and MY lack of honesty. Just like that, dismissed. This Bishop was also a dentist. I bring up their professions because both attorneys and healthcare workers are mandated reporters and these men not only didn't report it but covered up what was happening and tried to gaslight me. Through their inaction they allowed this predator to continue having access to untold numbers of children. In our particular stake a number of sexual predators were found out during my teen years - I even remember one, a rapist, coming to our home for dinner and visiting teaching. This youth teacher was never held accountable. It certainly makes one wonder if the church isn't part of a huge sex trafficking ring with all the sex abuse finally coming to light and their billions of dollars going to cover everything up. I question whether they harp on the no porn thing so much because their congregants would see their own children being abused by the very leaders that would shame them for looking for adult content in the first place.
