Your assessment of season one of Black Lightning is virtually the same as mine .I thought the Super Hero elements of the show was arguably the best of the 5 CW shows , and I figured if I could endure the inevitable cringy moments each show contained , the end result would still be a show worth watching .When I finished the season finale I told myself I would NOT be back for season 2 . But I'm a Super hero junkie so of course I caved . I didn't last ONE MINUTE of the first episode of season 2 and I haven't looked back .Now I realize that I'm not the demo the CW programs to ,( I'm several years older than Englentine ) but I'll never understand why some of the CW shows almost seem to purposefully antagonize potential viewers , or feel that some demos aren't worthy of their efforts .I don't watch Supergirl anymore either , and I would love to still be watching that AND Black Lightning, but I can't shake the feeling that the CW would rather I didn't .
