They deliberately create unrealistic beauty standards so we are forced to buy products to meet those standards. If we had realistic beauty standards we wouldn't need to buy the products to fix women's flaws and the beauty industry would go out of business. I didn't let myself go, I learnt to love my God-given beauty. These standards made me very insecure growing up. I did not like my face without makeup. Giving up makeup was so freeing and I now have a lot of confidence. At the same time I don't judge people who wear makeup at all. I have been there and I understand the appeal and vice makeup can have. I just wanted to post this for the women who are struggling with self-esteem issues due to the beauty industry. They profit off your low self-esteem therefore it is beneficial to them to make you feel ugly.
