It's very interesting how candid she is about it. It's hard to argue against the mentality of I have one life and I wish to do what makes me happy, however the context is different for a single person compared to a parent/wife. Because unlike a single, your actions directly affect the people closest to you--and may or may not affect their level of happiness in turn. So as a parent, you have to balance your desires/needs with those closest or dependant on you, including their welfare. Again, considering Japan is a bit closed when it comes to expressing genuine feeling/opinions, one wonders if the husband/child will be okay with it in the sense of being polite and not wishing to offend rather than truly being okay with it deep down. It's mostly the impact on the child that is concerning, especially if they are of developing age and not a fully mature adult able to better handle it. IMHO, she's coming at it from a very selfish perspective. Considering she's a mom, she should measure her desires in relation to what her family desires/needs, not only focus on herself. She would have been better off never getting married/having children, that way she could do whatever she wants and it wouldn't hurt anyone.

This video reminds me of two of my good friends at college who hate each other even though they used to be best friends (and I have no idea why they hate each other since neither has told me anything). I empathize with Amber as I feel like I'm caught in the crossfires of this situation. And I hope it will resolve itself since I don't have access to a lie detector test.

I admire Xev's originality and creativity. Unfortunately I didn't know about her until about a year ago when she was already in her unofficial quasi-retirement, but she was incredibly active in the 2014-2019 years and created a massive back catalogue. Not every idea is gold, but what's notable is how many things she tried with real heart and effort clearly going into her work. I also think it's fascinating how you can track what was going on in her life by the timeline of her videos. They start kind of generic (hot babysitter, secretary, etc.) but it quickly becomes clear she had motherhood on her mind because she overwhelmingly drifts into this topic before gradually hiding her pregnancy in the leadup to her first child. Nowadays she's drifted into more of her wife and mother role as the inspiration for her videos, which I always thought was nice. The industry isn't exactly known for stability and happy marriages, so it's nice to see an apparent success story. As for what to tell the children, I'm sure her and her husband have had those conversations, although personally I wonder how much of an issue it will really be. True, nothing ever dies on the Internet, but she owns all of her catalogue, including the stuff on adult sites, which means that when she's ready she can pull the content and combined with the avalanche of constant new content, I think she could drift into relative obscurity if and when she was ready to.

She was amazing in Handmaids tale! So much depth and I hope to see her do more work like that.
